2021 GREAT SUCCESS FOR ACCESS NATURE- THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Last week, Access Nature successfully completed our outdoor nature programing for 2021. Although not all of our partner organizations were fully open yet, we met the challenge of limited staff and were able to create enjoyable educational nature programs for adults with mental illness, intellectually challenged adults and immigrant families of limited means.

We have also found our ultimate goal of self sufficiency for our partner organizations, is being achieved little by little. Our groups report that they have enjoyed taking their clients on nature outings more frequently, giving them the lifetime tool to gain the benefits of nature.

Recent scientific studies show that more than 60 minutes a week in nature improves well-being significantly. And, individuals with major Depressive Disorder see a significant increase in mood after a nature walk.

We are also pleased to report that with the help of the HSBC graduates initiative, we have completed the creation of our educational workshop. This FREE 90 minute class will be available to teach other outdoor organizations how to duplicate our model. In this manner we will share the concept and knowledge of how to bring the benefits of nature to those most in need.

We are so very grateful for your past support and hope you will continue to help us make this program a reality for thousands more. Without your generosity and kindness we could not be able to accomplish our goals.
