On September 15, 2017 at 9am in Kingston, Jamaica the INMED Increasing Access to Climate Smart Agriculture-Aquaponics project will LAUNCH! The Official launch will be hosted by the Office of the Prime Minister and the Hon. Minister Daryl Vaz, Minister without Portfolio in Jamaica's Ministry of Economic Growth & Job Creation which covers Environmental programs. The Hon. Minister of Agriculture, Karl Samuda will also be speaking at the launch, as will the major funders of the overall project, the Inter-American Development Bank/Multilateral Investment Fund, and the United Nations Environment Programme and the Danish technical University Partnership. This progam launch marks the start of the Access to financing for Climate Smart Agriculture -Aquaponics program for smallholder farmers in Jamaica.
While these funders will cover the major expenses of managing the project and making it happen, your support is still very much needed to cover the expenses of the smallholder farmer who needs to get to the trainings (this means taking a day off work, travel and meal expenses, etc) as well as to cover additional assitance to the farmers in getting their systems up and running.
We will post pictures of the launch shortly!
THANK YOU
