During the las 12 months we have dedicated the funds gathered through GlobalGiving health campaign, towards filling a container of paediatric wheelchairs, in partnership with Walkabout Foundation and our local partner Fundaprocura.
We have kept you -up to date- with our progress, during our last two reports, and we are now happy to announce that, with your invaluable help, we managed to reach our target, fill the container with 100 paediatric wheelchairs! We are even happier to report that the wheelchairs have now safely arrived at our local partner’s (FUNDAPROCURA) warehouse in Caracas, and are now. awaiting for the most important step: The distribution of these wheelchairs to their beneficiaries.
Our partners on ground, are experts and have been doing wheelchair distributions for many years. Rest assure that they will be taking the steps that will follow very seriously, under our continous supervision.
Together we are now planning distribution days, making sure every child and their families have a slot that is convinient for them. We are also mindful of COVID safety meassures, and we will ensure that distributions are carried out under all the necessary meassures in a COVID safe enviorment.
We will keep you posted, and will have many photos, stories and testimonies to share on our next update.
This wonderful and ambitious project, that will not only bring the gift of mobility to many children but will also be a relief to many families, has been possible thanks to your generous donations and trust towards our organisation.
On behalf of all of us at CHAMOS: Thank you for allowing us to deliver such a precious gift.
