This year Rural Literacy Solutions helped rural students increase their reading, writing, speaking and comprehension abilities,as well as build their confidence and commitment towards school. Acting on one of our strategic priorities to provide book access to children in underserved communities, we donated 1500 library books to our little libraries. We also printed 2000 customized exercise books and donated to kids in our partner schools to help them with their academic needs.
We also launched liquid soap making training for girls in our partner schools to help our partner school children gets soap for their hand washing needs and also to empower the girls in the skill of liquid soap making. 15 girls were trained with the skills of making liquid soap in our pilot project at Kanvilli Nuriya Primary School. We also donated 100 insecticides treated mosquito nets to two of our partner schools to protect against mosquito bites this raining season.
We are proud to share these highlights and more in our 2022 Annual Report attached below.
A big thank you to Participate Learning and Participate and all their staff, our staff, advisors, educators, students, volunteers, and gracious donors. We extend our deepest gratitude for your passion, commitment, and resources in helping us eradicate child illiteracy in Northern Ghana. We couldn't have done it without all of you.
