Since end of last year, Empreza Di’ak’s team concentrated efforts in working together with artisans groups, civil society and governmental authorities in order to create synergies promoting Cultural Entrepreneurship.
Identify needs, overcome obstacles and find local solutions are only possible through discussion and a participative process involving all parts.
In December 2021, Empreza Di'ak and the Secretary of State for Art and Culture signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen our cooperation around common interests. This partnership will be an opportunity to join efforts in promoting local handicraft sector and its potential to turn traditions into livelihoods. For this occasion, our team provided training on Small Business to artisans from several municipalities.
In January and February, 2 workshops have been organized in view to gather partners and reflect about Cultural Entrepreneurship challenges and potential. This moment has been an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and impulse new connections and partnerships between stakeholders.
How to set up a cooperative, how get access to micro-credit or other financial support, how to make good pricing and many more topics have been discussed.
As part of our Women Economic Empowerment strategy, artisans (mainly women) could also bring some of their products that our Negosiu Diak team purchased for facilitating them access to market.
On top of this, we also promoted local handicraft by participating an Agroforestry Fair were customers could appreciate and buy high quality products from rural communities!
This is TURNING TRADITIONS INTO LIVELIHOODS!!
