Tree Growing to Save the Planet

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your support to our initiative tree growing in order to save the planet. We are experiencing the effects of climate change and there is a need to help mitigate these problems comprising erratic climate changes, siltation and desertification, and many other problems. There is a need to grow trees in order to save the planet and we aim to engage as before our local farmers in this effort. Planting of trees needs to be integrated with the growing of vegetables and root crops as well as the raising of farm animals for food and income or else the growing of trees do not prosper as farmers need to eat and have income for their daily needs. This reporting period we are able to promote to 170 farmers the concept of agro-reforestation or mxing cash crops and trees in a farm system. Hoping that in the next months we are able to expand our project to other farmers. Thank you very much.

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your support to our project tree growing in order to save the planet. Tree growing is a difficult enterprise especially for poor farmers who prefer to grow crops where they can harvest in the short term like vegetables and cereals. There is a need to make tree growing attractive and highly-prized by farmers for the initiative to succeed. Without this element, tree growing will have so many issues. One of the motivation we promote to our farmers is the growing of highly-valued fruit trees where income is high and market demand is good. Some of these crops are jackfruit, mango and others. We are getting good response from farmers in introducing these crops and hoping this success will continue. Again, thank you so much.
