The worst aspect about malnutrition is that parents do not know that their child is malnourished, and they are often surprised when the MUAC indicator shows a red or yellow degree.
26 field teams, supported by SMEA, are screening malnutrition cases in northern Syria, and there are daily tours conducted by 110 female workers within the camps and displacement gatherings, where they provide health services and nutrition supplements to the beneficiaries.
With every case of malnutrition, our teams rush to provide an urgent medical response, especially for acute cases that need therapeutic foods and close medical follow-up.
Wasting and malnutrition cases are directly addressed with by providing emergency nutritional supplements, and advanced cases are referred to specialized supervisors in SEMA's nutrition clinics who monitor their cases until full recovery.
Thank you for your previous contributions that helped us reach and treat many of these cases. Your continued support for this campaign will enable us to continue providing our mobile medical services for more displaced children.
