We want to express our sincere appreciation to individual donation in supporting the women as an income generation project in Yendi basically training by empowering them to become self-reliance and to put them in good position to support.
Our goal is to help the women to improve, capacitate, expand and sustain soap production in about 12 different smaller communities made up of 1500 women to alleviate poverty and ensure their well-being..
The project aim at providing them with production facilities as a center, equipped them with modern tools and raw materials needed for soap making. This at the end will enable the women to end some income to support the family and empower the women.
Enough of funds could not be raise so the little we had was used to purchase some additional raw materials for storage. The good news is that with the materials we have we can small production meaning our next report we will more on soap productions and not just buying and stocking raw materials.
We want to appeal to individuals, business people and kindhearted to keep supporting our project. These will help empower our vulnerable women especially maintaining coexistence rather than migration.

Its also our hope that come next report we will total challenge and transformation on this project through more funds to be raise. Ghana White Soap (Samla Yen) Black Soap is a soap made from Saponified Palm Kernel Oil. The production process is quite lengthy, but the ingredients are simple and natural-palm kernel oil and cocoa pod ash(same as black soap). … It is said to be just as effective as traditional dark black soap, but milder on the skin. INTRODUCTION Several economic benefits were envisaged under the pale soap manufacturing project. These included the creation of employment opportunities, raising the productivity of rural Ghanaian women, increasing their income earning capacities, and equalizing incomes between-marginal and core groups within the rural community. The attainment of these targets were measured by ex-ante and ex-post analysis of the economic situation of women in the selected communities for the soap project. Of direct and immediate concern was the economic viability of the project shown by cost benefit measures. Subsequent sections illustrate the method for the cost assessment for soap manufacturing according to the traditional and improved technologies. 4.2 ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY The estimates of production costs may be made by assessing those costs which are fixed each year and those which are variable according to the level of soap out-. put. In order to estimate fixed costs on an annual basis, investment costs of items such as land, traditional processing equipment, the TCC soap boiling tank, moulding trays, cutting table and other accessories should first be calculated as Illustrated in the following table. Table 4.1 Investment costs for traditional soap manufacturing process Item Cost (C) 4 Oil drums 16,000.00 6 Wooden stirrers Cooking pot Cutting table 120.00 6 Stamping boxes 8 Stamping pads Knife 6 Moulding frames 4 Wooden hammers 9 Polythene sheets 2 Plastic containers Contingency Total 2.500.00 2,000.00 360.00 1,200.00
