Support 50 children with Autism in Tijuana

Dear donors,

Thanks to your generous support, we are currently providing assistance to 44 children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in our program.

The 2023-2024 academic year for our Special Education Program for children with autism has just begun, welcoming 44 students ranging from three to fourteen years old. Many of these students are newcomers to our program, having received therapeutic treatment at our Psychopedagogical Center and meeting the criteria for enrollment in the School Program. We are delighted to note that a significant portion of these children are under the age of six, which suggests that our efforts to raise awareness about the key characteristics of autism and the importance of early detection and intervention are reaching parents of children under three years old or those expecting a child.

In the initial weeks of the academic year, our therapist-teachers conduct assessments of the children to create personalized work plans tailored to their challenges and abilities. Subsequently, these plans are presented to parents for collaborative implementation.

Thanks to your unwavering support, we can continue to enhance the quality of life and promote the right to inclusion for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

What activities have we carried out thanks to your support?

We successfully carried out the Open Class, where the parents of children and young people with autism in our School Program received evaluations conducted by the therapy teachers and witnessed their children's progress before they went on vacation.

Furthermore, we celebrated the birthdays of our students Alex, Harú, Matías, Jose Luis, and Karem. It is a true pleasure for our organization to share such a special moment with the birthday celebrants and their loved ones.

Lastly, we are thrilled to share with you that to conclude the school year, we held the "My Dear Parents" festival where the children and adolescents performed beautiful dances dedicated to their parents. We also conducted the end-of-course and graduation ceremony, both for those who will continue their journey in regular schools and those who will seek new challenges and adventures due to their age.
