Nutritional education to improve the quality of life.
The donation you make has been used so that our nutrition program continues to function, providing support to more than 100 girls and boys from the Oaxacan communities, obtaining great results, for this reason we continue with the monthly evaluation of weight, height, abdominal perimeter and hemoglobin sample of our girls and boys, which has allowed us to know the state of health of each one of them, in addition to preparing a balanced diet so that they can acquire all the necessary nutrients in their growth.
As part of the education we provide, we have worked on the nutritional tatami, which is an effective teaching tool with which girls and boys learn the nutritional importance of the foods we eat frequently. This practice consists of 67 food cards, they are cards that contain the illustration of the foods of the 5 groups according to the plate of good eating, each food is described with the nutrients it contains and the function it has in our body, as well as the part of the body that benefits The selected foods are part of the basic basket of the families with which we work and are easily accessible. Also contains 11 Body Parts Cards: These are illustrations of parts of the body that will help children match foods with their nutritional value to the part of the body it benefits, as well as the function of that part.
Our project is a tool for social union, a brick in the construction of a better future for the families that share the food that is provided to them daily and you are the pillar that sustains our building.
