Thanks to your support, ActionAid has distributed 12,000 school supply kits, sent over 200 displaced children back to school, and provided 1,000 multi-purpose cash transfers to help families cover school costs, as well as other basic needs.
ActionAid and local partners in the DRC continue to provide support to displaced people in Kasai, especially women, young people, and children. ActionAid has supported 19,286 people through its women-led protection program and has established Community Women Committees working to reduce sexual and gender-based violence, which increased significantly when conflict broke out.
ActionAid has been able to provide urgent services and relief to over 39,000 displaced people in the Kasai region as a result of your generosity and support. However, much more must be done. With over 1 million people displaced and a lack of international attention, the situation in the DRC is one of the worst neglected displacement crises in the world.
Will you share our project with your friends and family? To tackle this human-rights crisis and provide displaced people with the services they have been deprived of, more funding must be raised, and fast.
Your support makes a world of difference to displaced communities.
Thank you.
