Health Poverty Action would like to extend a huge thank you to you for supporting our recent emergency appeal through GlobalGiving – ‘Taking Action to Prevent Famine’.
Drought does not only affect the water supply. It affects crops and livestock. The ability to earn a living and to provide for your family. It has huge implications for health, particularly for pregnant women and young children who risk starvation or contracting dangerous water-borne diseases. That is why we take a holistic approach to disaster relief. We are ensuring long term change at a grassroots level and we will continue to work with local partners on the ground to ensure that everybody has the opportunity to live healthy lives. You can see this approach in the infographic below.
Once again, thank you. Your support has allowed us to implement programmes in remote areas of Kenya and Somaliland that are often inaccessible and overlooked.
Thank you,
Sabrina Lloyd
