Hello SHN Family -
The Special Hope Network Community Outreach Team has hit the ground running! In February, Abigail, Mary, Aliness, and Edwin (SHN Community Outreach Team) safely vistied 30+ community schools and a handful of churches to gauge individual interest in attending disability advocay workshops. Everyone they interviewed was interested!
In March, the team hosted their first few disability inclusive trainings and over 40 community members from local schools and churches showed up to learn. We're hopeful that individuals will continue attending these sessions and our team will eventually be invited into schools to begin training teachers on a consistent basis. We know these members of our Lusaka community will use their knowledge to create a more inclusive Zambia for the children and families in our SHN community and beyond!
Please join us in cheering and praying for our Community Outreach Team as they continue to reach the Lusaka community through disability advocacy trainings and in-school meetings.
Thank you for partnering with Special Hope Network to create disability inclusive classrooms in Zambia!
WE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU!
The Special Hope Network Team
