In January we will be launching our WomenConnect project in Serengeti District.
This project will empower female leaders, including school teachers, in every village to use digital technology to improve livelihoods in their schools and villages more widely. Currently we are busy collating digital content in English and Swahili to take to Tanzania in January for women to access on laptops and phones. It will include science and maths text books, videos about agriculture, girls' rights, female genital mutilation, and general education and health information.
Working closely with local schools and activist we will be delivering training in 87 villages to women leaders who will then cascade the training throughout their schools and villages. Follow up training will be delivered via WhatsApp groups.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting this project and we look forward to giving you updates throughout 2019.
Best wishes for the festive season!
