There is no physical presence of MRC Nepal in the field as lockdown started since last 24 March 2020 due to corona pandemic.Experts say that entire Terai where 52%Nepal's population lives is at risk because of its proximity to the border because the lockdown has not really stopped mobility in the plains. Although no any death cases reported due to infection of corona whereas 40 death cases and 17344 infected persons are reported in the country.They have been following safe measures through media, papers, local clubs and MRC Nepal.
Lockdown is still continued in Nepal.Targetted people are directly affected due to lock down.Many people lost local employment in this period but they have been working as agriculture laborer to cope with the situation.Government of Nepal is in consultation process to create employment locally. People are waiting favorable policy which will address the immediate need of victims.
The main role of MRC is to virtual councelling to victims for safty measures of corona.They have been using cook stoves properly. Next step for action will be taken after situation normal.
