Preparing room for surgery.
Meet Jyoti, one of our recent graduates. Jyoti graduated from Elite Vocational College in 2022 with an Associates degree as a Multipurpose Healthcare Worker. She spent 2023 working at a local government hospital as an Intern while studying for her Diploma in Anesthesia Technician. She passed her course and was recenlty accepted to do her practical training as an Operation Theater Assistant.
She will spend the next year working as an intern in an operations setting. Once that is complete she will pursue her license as an Anesthesia Assistant. Her future in medicine is well on its way. She is very happy to be working under an amazing workforce team at the government hospital helping people who could otherwise not afford access to healthcare.
Jyoti was part of a cohort of our kids, five in total who went through the Elite College Healthcare Worker program. All five of these young women are pursuing additional educational tracks to build upon their skills, which will create opportunity in a very competitive job market.
Your support helps Hope Now mainstain our support as our kids work their way through their education. We thank all of you for being a part of our family.

Roja is Married!
By Machelle Norling | Director
![Engagement Ceremony]()
Engagement Ceremony
Roja was our first. She has been a part of the Hope Now family since she was 8-years-old. What a journey it has been. An orphan at 8 when her parents died of AIDS. A big sister to so many, a leader, an inspiration and friend to all that came after her. She graduated with a bachelor degree in physical therapy in 2020 and now runs a clinic in Secunderabad. She has been living in an apartment with some of her sisters who are attending college for the past three years, guiding her them through their studies.
Roja and Matthew met in the traditional way, through a match-making process. They were given the time to get to know each other and came to the conclusion after six months they wanted to be married. The engagement ceremony was a wonderful celebration filled with joy as all the kids decorated the venue and welcomed Matthew and his family into our big family. Roja and Matthew married on August 30th and will live in Secunderabad close to family.
This is our story. The primary mission of Hope Now. To ensure that every single one of our kids has opportunity. The opportunity to be educated, raised in a loving home and supported as they go out into the world to create a life of their own.
As the years pass, more and more of our kids will graduate from college and start an adult life. It is a tremendous honor to be a part of these kid’s lives and witness their breathtaking journeys.

Milestones
The 2022/2023 school year is over and it was another successful year for the kids. Our youngest is now 16 and a year away from deciding where they will go to college. Exam time is stressful and busy so we try to take the time to recognize their efforts as they prepare for year-end exams, which will play a huge role in placements for college. Several of the kids in 9th and 10th grade were given achievement awards from their school. Several kids will graduate from college this year and are already planning for the future, looking for jobs and will move out.
Our family is changing, as we send more kids out into the world it is both a celebration and a bittersweet time as all the kids grow older and plan for the rest of their lives. It is a priviledge to be a part of their lives and see the accomplishments that come with many years of hard work.
