Roja was our first. She has been a part of the Hope Now family since she was 8-years-old. What a journey it has been. An orphan at 8 when her parents died of AIDS. A big sister to so many, a leader, an inspiration and friend to all that came after her. She graduated with a bachelor degree in physical therapy in 2020 and now runs a clinic in Secunderabad. She has been living in an apartment with some of her sisters who are attending college for the past three years, guiding her them through their studies.
Roja and Matthew met in the traditional way, through a match-making process. They were given the time to get to know each other and came to the conclusion after six months they wanted to be married. The engagement ceremony was a wonderful celebration filled with joy as all the kids decorated the venue and welcomed Matthew and his family into our big family. Roja and Matthew married on August 30th and will live in Secunderabad close to family.
This is our story. The primary mission of Hope Now. To ensure that every single one of our kids has opportunity. The opportunity to be educated, raised in a loving home and supported as they go out into the world to create a life of their own.
As the years pass, more and more of our kids will graduate from college and start an adult life. It is a tremendous honor to be a part of these kid’s lives and witness their breathtaking journeys.
