During the reporting period from February 2023 to Aprol 2023, the people who are highly affected by flood were support to maintain livelihood through different income generating activiies related to vegetable. Such supports are vegetable training, seed and nursery raising , fruit plantation, etc. MRC Nepal plays an important role for technical backstopping and skilled enhancemnt training for commercial vegetable farming.
As a result of these interventions, affected victim are able to increase their existing income from the sale of vegetable products in the market. Hence the families ensure for all year round along with daily household expenses. Thier dependent children gets nutritious food, cloth and better education. In this regards the affected families freely express thier internal feeling of improving livrlihood from the supoert of MRC Nepall and GLOBAL GIVING.Thanks to them.

Growing vegetables for income and consumption
The flood affected victim families followed by COVID-19 pandemic are highly suffered by day to day livelihood and improving health.So that thes beneficiaries are organized in group and supported high quality seed and production materials with production technologies through intensive technical support for production and marketing of vegetable during this quarter from October to December.These beneficiaries are also supported by portable cookstove for cooking their foods minimizing the indoor smoke pollutions as these beneficiaries are incapable of buying LP gases.
Now these baneficiaries are able to generate attractive income from the selling of vegetables ang drastically improving their day to day livelihood and health of the marginal people. They are pleased to say that GlobalGiving and MRC Nepal changes our life by improving livelihood and thank to both of them.

Income from Vegetable growing in Home garden
Nepal every year faces heavy losses,threat and risks from heavy flooding and land slides during Rainy seasons starts from June to September this periods.In these very difficult situation MRC Nepal is very much alert and sensitive to protect flood affected victim and people.The organization have been implemented many disaster risk reduction activities in the areas.
The implementing organization MRC Nepal conducted many capacity building training on Agriculture and technical backstopping support to the affected poor producers so that these people generate income from the improved agricultural system.The organzation MRC Nepal raise houshold income from the improved agricultural technologies through supporting improved seeds,nutrients,training and technical backstopping support continuously.So that affected beneficiaries are capable of improving their day to day livelihood,education of the children,health and social ceremonies from the increased incomeThe affected beneficiaries thank to GLOBAL GIVING and MRC Nepal.
Many affected people in the region are very happy wit these very attractive income generations programs.
