Dear Donors
We are very grateful for your continued support for the families of Omacha, your contribution is extremely valuable, we want to tell you that we exceeded our forestry goal we achieved more than 200,000 seedlings, we worked many tasks with families and communities, we planted in final field, We took care of our nurseries with manual work to prevent the attack of the fungal disease chupadera fungus in the seedlings and improve their drainage, since May we are entering the cold and frost season, so we must take good care of our small seedlings for the next forestry campaign in November 2021-March 2022.
The families and communities have participated with great attention and dedication to the training on the harvesting of pine mushrooms and morchella mushrooms, learning how to collect them, store them, build drying sheds, and cook delicious recipes, thanks to this they have sold more than 1500 kilos, so we are very happy, this is part of the value of the forest for them and their future.
They have also made a great effort for the construction and care of the guinea pig sheds, the guinea pig associations have very positive results, on average they house more than 1000 guinea pigs per shed, which makes it a profitable business for their families.
We emphasize the role of rural women, we celebrate with her the 5 groups of women savers, together they decided the rules, they wrote them and they are at the entrance of the community hall, they feel important, valued for being the protagonists of this activity.
The institutional support of the Municipality has been very valuable for all the activities we carry out, and that is why their participation is fundamental, so that the communities strengthen their relationship with them.
Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the communities continue to adopt their own quarantines, following strict preventive measures to avoid contagion, however, several families and part of our team have been infected, fortunately all are now well.
We believe in the organizational and associative potential of the families for the good of their communities, and even in the midst of the pandemic, we are fighting for the economic reactivation of the country, today more than ever the agricultural sector is once again taking center stage due to the important role it plays in the supply of basic necessities in the markets nationwide.
Here are some photos of our day to day work with the families of Omacha.
Together we are part of the change!
Come and join us!!!!
We sow Prosperity!!!!
