REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY - FEBRUARY:
Introduction
The new term began on 8th January, 2018 for the 332 old students. The new students opened on 10th January, 2018 with 110 new students joining new classes. We were able to introduce grade one in our school as a government requirement that all ECD CENTRES need to cater for age 0-8 years.
NEW CURRICULUM
With the introduction of the new curriculum teachers were able to attend 3 major trainings in preparation of the new curriculum; the first one was an outline introduction of the new curriculum to the Directors of private schools. The second training was organized by the Director of a private school we partner with; they had hired trainers to take their teachers through the new curriculum. The third training was organized by the sub county government to facilitate teachers in the new curriculum 2 of our teachers were able to attend this training. Recently we organized training in our school where we had 19 teachers in attendance. With all these trainings most of our teachers are knowledgeable on how to implement the new curriculum.
High Scholars
These are high school leavers who are sponsored by Little Rock, at the completion of their high schooling they give back to Little Rock as they await to go to college and the university, this year we have 8 of them supporting teachers in their classes as assistant teachers.
Volunteers
We have 15 volunteers from different Colleges, Universities and High School leavers who come to Little Rock every ones a week to support and assist the children, as a community service venture.
They support the children by assisting the teachers in the classes; they take them out for sports and in the kitchen either by cooking or cleaning up.
Special Education Professionals Training
Six teachers attended a training organized by special needs professionals to enable them work together with children with special needs.

CHALLENGE
The major challenge we have is high demand of enrollment of children with special needs these means we need more resources to enable us to employ more teachers and to buy learning materials.
