In 2024, The Light Center was able to help at least 54 families who were in desperate need of infant formula. We continue to primarily work through our healthcare network of nurses and social workers at regional hospitals to ensure our formula is getting to the families with the greatest needs. This is about a 50% reduction from the previous year which we consider a good thing! It means that Thailand is succesfully recovering from the pandemic shut downs with families finding employment, and the need for emergency formula going down.
Last year continued to reaffirm that partnerships with our healthcare network is the best model for this type of assistance. They are the closest support for these families and know what the greatest needs are. In addition, this simple partnership opens the door to assisting regional hospitals and families with our maternity care program. Thank you for helping us provide for families in need and to the physical development of children who don't have access to breast milk.
