PROVISION OF MILKING COWS
By Aime Sibomana | Project Evaluation and Monitoring officer
This project aims to improve the livelihoods of 66 teenage mothers, their children, and their extended families. So far, the project has provided cows to 6 teenage mothers; the cows are beneficial to their whole families. Beneficiaries are very grateful to have a gift of life.
At this reporting period, we were unable to provide additional cows as we decided to provide from 3+ cows, the money collected was not able to do so.
We would like to take this time to thank everyone who has donated to this project and would like to encourage donors to consider donating to this project.

Dear friends and partners,
We are pleased to let you know that we have distributed three additional milking cows to three single adolescent mothers; Chantal (19 years ), Cresence (20 Years)
and Josianne (19 years) through our ongoing project of ‘Providing Cows to 66

Friends Peace House built the cowshed to all the receivers and provided them
with necessary basic tools including salt, sprayers among others.
This activity was done on 2nd November 2021 at the cell office. The receivers, their families, local officials, and Friends peace house’s staff participated in the event.
Chantal said:
"I am very grateful to have this cow, I and my family are going to have a better life. big thanks to the donors who decided to share their blessings with us. I hope this is the beginning of happiness in our family"

Provision of Milking Cows to Teenage Mothers
By Aime SIBOMANA | Project M&E Officer

Friends Peace House's project of providing 66 adolescent mothers and their children with milking cows began to be implemented in April 2021 where three cows were distributed to three women.
However, due to the fact that the area in which the project is being implemented has been in lockdown, Friends Peace House was not able to distribute the additional cows that were donated to comply with the government measures and support the community in fighting the Covid19 virus.
Friends Peace House has been following up on the donated cows and we are pleased to let you know that all the three cows are now pregnant. Beneficiaries began to benefit from selling the manure produced by their cows and reserved manure for their next agricultural activities.
Friends Peace House plans to distribute three additional cows as soon as the lockdown is lifted.
