Friends Peace House's project of providing 66 adolescent mothers and their children with milking cows began to be implemented in April 2021 where three cows were distributed to three women.
However, due to the fact that the area in which the project is being implemented has been in lockdown, Friends Peace House was not able to distribute the additional cows that were donated to comply with the government measures and support the community in fighting the Covid19 virus.
Friends Peace House has been following up on the donated cows and we are pleased to let you know that all the three cows are now pregnant. Beneficiaries began to benefit from selling the manure produced by their cows and reserved manure for their next agricultural activities.
Friends Peace House plans to distribute three additional cows as soon as the lockdown is lifted.
