Sarahuaro nutrition program has been extended in collaboration with ASA and Astra Foundation, 4 nutrition workshops were held with the participation of 80 children and 65 mothers. The goal achieved: ASA and ASTRA Foundation collaborated in a period of 3 months with our kitchen.
The overall objective is to promote healthy nutritional environments in the Sarahuaro dining rooms.
The program performed diagnostic tests on 80 children to identify the presence of diseases related to nutrient deficiencies such as diabetes, obesity, or malnutrition.
There was one workshop each month on the importance of healthy eating and the necessary eating habits to prevent and treat these diseases.
Results:
Diagnose 80 children beneficiaries of our program to identify if they suffer from malnutrition, diabetes, or obesity.
All, tutors, girls, and boys’ beneficiaries of the Sarahuaro kitchens learned good eating habits to prevent and treat diseases such as malnutrition, diabetes, and obesity.
