The Nutritional Support project is always on the Instituto Bola Pra Frente. Our students have a varied menu of fruits, biscuits, juices, breads and cakes.
Every week, a new menu and is is presented accompanied by a fruit. Together with the practice of healthy eating, students are encouraged to practice physical activities regularly, as well as educational and cultural workshops, aiming at a harmonious and healthy educational process.
Currently, the Nutrition Support project provided to 644 children and adolescents, aged 6 to 17 years old, living in the Muquiço Complex, in the Northern Zone of Rio de Janeiro. In addition, to the daily supply of snacks, which happens without a school counter, offering psychosocial support to enrollees and family members. In special cases, with the help of other partners, we allow a delivery of a basic food basket to families with greater social risk.
We also developed a culinary workshop, with a volunteer nutritionist, who in a playful way, stimulated a change in the eating habits of the students and consequently of their families.
"Educate as children and young people about what to eat and part of the integral education of any individual, because with this we can unite: health, environment and quality of life, issues that permeate two presuppositions of our curriculum: child and adolescent practicing a life well aware of their rights and duties". Flávia Morais, coordinator of social projects
