Mental Health Education for 5,000 Kids in China

Thanks to the donors for your strong support for the public welfare projects of the Rici Foundation. In July, many of our public welfare projects achieved great results. The number of students served by all teachers in 2023: 430,000. In the first half of 2023, there was a substantial increase in data compared with the whole year of 2022.

From July 11 to July 14, the teacher study tour camp officially started, and a total of 63 teachers from all over the country were recruited during this period. The learning themes of this study camp were: applied drama, expression of new art therapy, life narrative, etc. After the end of the study tour camp, the teachers' satisfaction with the questionnaire survey was 4.95 points out of 5 points.

On July 28, 2023, we organized an online lecture on "How to Build a Positive Teacher-Student Relationship". The total number of viewers of this online live broadcast was 6431, and the teachers actively interacted with the trainers during the live broadcast. Through this lecture, the teachers further learned the skills of building a harmonious relationship between teachers and students, and also collided with more sparks of thought in the sharing and discussion.

In July, 29 theme camp teams successfully went to their respective project sites, and the summer camp won unanimous praise from local village committees, schools, parents, and students. Currently, 27 teams have finished camp. The theme camp of Ignite Project covers many provinces and cities, including Henan Province, Anhui Province, Fujian Province, Yunnan Province, etc. More than 435 volunteers from 29 teams participated in the Summer Camp, and more than 2,600 children participated in.

Finally, this month, more than 12 volunteers were organized to participate in the visit work, visiting more than 20 teams, and volunteers visited nearly 10 provinces and cities. After the visit, the volunteers reported feeling the strength and cohesion of the Ignite Project, and also put forward many valuable suggestions. The volunteers have created many interesting and memorable stories with children in villages across the country. We believe that the small seeds planted in the hearts of children will one day grow into the sky tree!
