Dear GlobalGiving donors,
We want to share with you the exciting progress of our mental health project for deaf youth at Fundación Óyeme. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to initiate this important work that is making a real difference in the lives of deaf youth.
The process of mental health care at Fundación Óyeme has been truly rewarding. From the beginning, we have perceived an attitude of openness to change in the population we serve. This has allowed for an effective intervention of emotional distress, giving rise to the expression of feelings and emotions through both verbal and non-verbal communication.
We have addressed crucial issues such as emotion management, conflict resolution and decision making, recognizing the complexities faced by our users in each of its dimensions: personal, family and social. Our comprehensive approach has allowed us to generate effective strategies to eliminate barriers and enhance tools that favor development at each stage of the life cycle.
We are pleased to inform you that, to date, we have served 1 user. However, as of the end of May, we will open our schedule to be able to serve 33 more users. This significant growth in our service capacity is possible thanks to your continued generosity and support.
Once again, we want to express our deep appreciation for making this important work possible. Thanks to you, we are providing vital and transformative accompaniment to young deaf people, helping them to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
Thank you for being part of this important mission!
With gratitude,
