Fifty percent of mental health problems in adults begin before the age of 14, and 75% before the age of 18. Between 35% and 50% of people with mental disorders receive no or inadequate treatment, and the pandemic has increased the prevalence of depression and anxiety by 25% to 27% worldwide.
The change we seek with this project is to eliminate accessibility barriers faced by the deaf population using Colombian sign language and oral language, to receive in a timely manner and with the necessary reasonable accommodation, mental health services required by the population at the level of prevention and intervention. In addition to the respect, at all times, for the right to privacy of this population.
Today we want to reach out to you and thank you deeply for your support and collaboration to carry out this challenging and motivating project. We hope to continue counting on your generosity and fulfill the dream of making this world a better place for young people with hearing disabilities.
