Executive Summary
The NUR Food Bank, a cornerstone of the NUR Community Outreach Program (NCOP) since 1985, addresses childhood hunger among students at NUR Foundation Schools in Pakistan. Currently providing weekly meals, the project seeks to expand to daily meals to combat acute food insecurity and improve educational outcomes. Despite serving vulnerable children for 11 years, limited funding restricts meal frequency. This initiative aims to transform the lives of students by ensuring consistent nutrition, directly tackling Pakistan’s high hunger index (ranked 99th of 121 countries in the 2023 Global Hunger Index).
