Another year is about to end. It has been a challenging one, for the pandemic that affected the whole world and the poorest economies in particular.
We have been lucky at Malaika for not having anybody affected by the disease, nor among children nor in the staff. Still, the general situation of the area near Malaika has suffered a lot.
For a country that relies on tourism, having registered such a deep business contraction has been a demanding experience.
On the bright side, we feel lucky for being helped by you and other supporters around the world, who permitted all Malaika's disadvantaged children to keep studying, going to school, and building their future life upon your gift.
Thanks to your precious support, our pre-schools kids have finished their first year of school and can already write the alphabet: they are always delighted to go to school where they have great fun.
We wish you a happy holiday season!
Happy New Year!
