In June 2023, Ajarn Lihkai will meet with a group of students from Laos that would like to study the Lahu language. There are about 15 - 20 students that have agreed to meet in June and with the intention to meet monthly for 2-3 days to continue the Lahu literacy studies in Thailand.
Ajarn Suphot and his mother Khun Lume are planning to invite all those who participlated in the first 2-week seminar for Lahu Literacy to join them again in July for the second seminar in the Nong Kiao area of Northern Thailand. They will continue to build on the educational foundation laid in the first seminar and help each student progress toward fluency with the reading and writing of the Lahu language.
We are hoping several more partners will give generously to this project so that the seminars can continue and many more Lahu speaking people can receive the educational foundation to read and write their own language, Lahu.
