Happy Lunar New Year (LNY)! As we reflect upon the last year, we are amazed and humbled at how HOPE has grown and our potential for the new decade. During the LNY holiday, the HOPE team is busy planning and preparing for the coming year.
During the break, we work with our horses, making sure that they are fit and healthy. We also continue to work on desensitization, which is very important. New objects are introduced, enabling the horses to be comfortable around a variety of toys, sounds and circumstances.
We are developing our spring schedule to accommodate as many riders as possible. We look at our “herd” to match riders with horses, and of course, volunteer availability. Together, these pieces enable us to provide effective and safe sessions.
This coming year we are pursuing PATH Int’l (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) center accreditation and instructor certification for one of the HOPE staff – both of which are a first for Mainland China!
We are thankful for your continued support as we share our passion for serving individuals with special needs in partnership with the horse.
Cheers to a wonderful 2020!
Thank you,
Amy
