Dear friends
The terrible Beirut explosions hit the Franciscan convent located in the Gemmayzeh area, just 1 km away from the port, causing extensive damage to the building.
Fortunately, there were no victims among the friars and our friends, but the building was badly damaged and the Franciscans were forced to leave the convent for fear of collapse.
With your help, the Franciscans immediately secured the convent and began distributing aid to the displaced people. But there is still a great need for your help and generosity to give keep on sustaining the people of Beirut and to complete the restoration of the Convent badly damaged in the explosion of last August 4th..

We wish you all a Merry Christmas.
