Due to the current war in Israel and Palestine, Lebanon is on the edge of a new tragic crisis due to the involvement of Hezbollah militia in the conflict in the southern part of the country.
If the involvement in the conflict increases there will be terrible consequences for the country that is already experiencing a crisis in all aspects. For this reason Pro Terra Sancta activities are still very focused on emergency aid, since there is nothing left: there is no electricity, no heating, no medicines and the cost of food items increases drastically day after day.
Every month we distribute primary goods to more than 2.500 families in Tripoli and Beirut. Each box costs around 60 USD and is fundamental for the family. The waiting list is very long therefore we try to increase this number of beneficiaries with 200 people per month.
There have been a few distributions in Tyre (South Lebanon) in the past, but at the moment they have been suspended due to uncertainty of the situation.
Since there are no good news in sight we are planning to increase this monthly aid to families since in several cases it's vital for their survival.
Thank you for supporting this aid which costs more and more every day due to prices inflation!
