Dear GlobalGiving Supporters,
Happy New Year! As we usher in 2024, we are excited to share the incredible strides Kampala Music School has made, thanks to your unwavering support over this period.
This new year holds promises of progress and growth, and we eagerly anticipate in this leap year taking giant leaps into the future. Your continued generosity has been the driving force behind our ability to persevere, and we are deeply grateful for your dedication to the cause of music education. Our flagship ensembles, including the Junior Orchestra and the KCCA Youth Orchestra, are gearing up to resume their musical journeys.
The recent inaugural concert by the KCCA Youth Orchestra was nothing short of amazing, showcasing the immense talent nurtured within the city at large showing that there is prevoiusly untapped talent in confines that stretch beyond our previous confines. This project is supported by external supporters, but we hope that we shall be able to continue and even broaden the scope of this orchestra. The impact on the players is immense.
What makes this year particularly special is witnessing the remarkable growth of our students. Atim, a shining example of dedication, recently contributed as a teaching assistant in the December Holiday Program. It was great to see students like Atim taking on roles that extend beyond their own musical pursuits.
Similarly, Ian has embraced a leadership role, conducting some of the rehearsals of the Junior Orchestra. His trumpet studies are progressing well, and his passion for music is not only reflected in his own journey but also in his willingness to guide and inspire fellow students.
As we embark on the new year, we have set our sights on a crucial initiative – supporting more students in their ABRSM exams. The success of this endeavour relies on your continued support. Your contributions have already made a significant impact, and we are hopeful that, together, we can provide the resources and encouragement needed for our students to excel in their examinations. This year promises to be a testament to the resilience of our musical community and the transformative power of your generosity.
With your ongoing support, Kampala Music School is poised to empower more young minds, nurture talent, and create a harmonious future through music education. Thank you for being a vital part of our journey. Here's to a year filled with music, achievement, and shared successes!
Warm regards,
