Patient Relief Mission (PRM) exist to improve cancer care and management for female patients and their care-givers by providing hostel accommodation, transport to and from Uganda cancer institute (UCI) for treatment and three meals a day to those who come from rural areas in order to receive their treatment and who otherwise would have nowhere to stay in the city. PRM was founded with the aim of ending the needless suffering for cancer patients in Kampala, Uganda.
We have done more improvements to compound of the facility. We have even commenced the construction of a concrete fence that will provide security to the facility and the patients. We are also in final stages of making the hostel habitable as the final stage of the construction. In addition we are planting better trees that will provide comfortable shades for the patients.
Success story
There is progress on the concrete fence that is almost at the completion stage.
We are finally done with the roofing of the hostel and the staff quarters. We have also improved the road network around the hostel by grading the roads and constant maintenance so as to make the hostel more accessible.
We look forward to finishing up with the compound in the months ahead as we prepare to receive the patients with support from our kind partners.
