Hello Friends of the Hogar Santa Ana:
When we think that Covid is almost over, it comes back! Luckily, vaccines are available now (as opposed to the beginning of the pandemia), so our ladies are into their 4th shot. We are still wearing face masks most of the time in the common areas, but we have started relaxing a bit and have started socializing in our usual activities within the home.
Art therapy is one of the favorite workshops, in the pictures you will see some of the art produced by our ladies. These workshops help develop friendships, and many times our ladies donate their production to other needy people.
We have a new benefactor, who owns a meat processing plant. He has been bringing his produce so that we can cook something special for birthday celebrations. Thank you Gustavo from Cardenas!
In an elderly ladies home, routine is very important. We are happily starting to go back to our pre Covid routine, socializing at midday with a shared lunch.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
