November Greetings from Gulu,
Since our last report, not a lot has changed in Uganda. Covid continues to be a big problem and lockdowns still impact the people of this beautiful country. Schools are still not open and curfews continue to restrict movement. Even so, Ugandans go about their business with smiles on their faces, making the best of this terrible situation. We are proud to report that we continued to financially support our beneficiaries even through the most difficult days of the lockdown. We are 100% committed to supporting our beneficiaries.
For us, here at the Ribe Project, we are once again working at our office. Because we are a small group, we are able to meet during the day to work on our new designs, despite the restrictions. The women are excited about the new necklace patterns they are producing for holiday sales. Beautiful things are happening! In addition to the jewelry, we are now offering baskets and bags! We are so proud of our latest expansion, and we hope you will love these new products as much as we do!
