We quickly understood that the way we dealt with this crisis would affect our beneficiaries to a degree unimaginable. What we had to do, despite the peculiar circumstances, was simply make up for study time lost in young student lives. The fact that all our students could make use of their own laptops was a blessing and ensured that they did not fall too far behind in their studies.
Not an easy task while maneuvering an ever-evolving pandemic. Covid-19 has wreaked havoc on the education of disadvantaged students everywhere in developing countries, pushing many millions of children into learning poverty. We took it upon us to prevent or repair any study delays among our beneficiaries, which is more ambitious than it seems. And to be able to realize this goal, as soon as possible bring all of our students back to their student home Dar Moustaqbel, with their faithful friend, their laptop for their inevitable long-distance learning periods!
So when we finally received permission to bring all our students back to our student home in springtime this year, we were able to get back to our normal routine. Extra tutoring and our activities program could at long last start as intended. Dar Moustaqbel as we know it was back, brimming with enthusiasm. Thanks to your help our students did not fall behind too much in their studies and they could continue their ever more wanting learning process.
Now they are enjoying a one-month summer holiday, till they will return to Dar Moustaqbel, in the beginning of September.
