Give a Child in Ghana a Safe Place to Learn

Dear Friends, 

We at PAAJAF Foundation are immensely grateful for you. Your contributions and continued support of the work we are doing to educate our young students does not go unnoticed. We want to thank both our long standing supporters and our new supporters. Our doors remain open and we have the ability to provide quality education and engaging programs for our students. Providing them with the foundational skills that will not only impact their lives but also those of their families. 

Our second school term began on May 9th and ended just a week ago on August 11th. This term we accomplished an important goal our organization had of setting up a WiFi system school wide which greatly improved the type of lessons we provide and broadened the range of resources for our teachers. We also purchased a chest freezer, an office locker, trash cans, and other school supplies to improve our school’s health and safety standards. This term we saw the admission of four new students to our nursery class. Two siblings moved outside of our neighborhood so our student population total is 68. 

Each term, we hold fun and engaging extra-curricular activities for all our students. This term we organized a sports day having a variety of games and activities including musical chairs and a candy hunt (toffee). We spiced up our fruit day celebrations by organizing a fruit cutting competition between the different classes. Our first grade students decided to make juice instead. Though there wasn’t a clear winner, everyone had a fruitilicious day including the parents who were the judges of the event. 

We continue to follow the national curriculum provided by the Ghanian Education Services. We introduced a French class to our primary classes and continued our ICT/computer classes utilizing the laptops and tablets bought through your donations. We saw a successful end to our term and look forward to our third and final term that starts in September. We are constantly striving to provide the best education to our students and we could not have done this without you. We are grateful for you as we continue to reach our goal. Thank you once again.

We at PAAJAF Foundation are immensely grateful for you. Your contributions and continued belief and support in the wonderful work we are doing does not go unnoticed. Thank you for standing with us year after year. For our new donors, we also want to extend a special thank you for trusting us and joining our family as we strive to educate and equip each and every child that walks through our doors. 

January 11th, 2022 was the start of the school year and just last week, we saw a successful end to the first term. With the start of a new school year, we admitted 17 new students to our nursery class. The past class had 16 students in 2021 so we grew by one student. We are expecting more admissions in the following term that will begin May 9th, 2022. Our school now has a total of 66 students. 

One of the extra-curricular activities we held this term was PAAJAF goes Red, held on February 18th, 2022. Every year we reserve a day for our students to practice courtesy focusing on love, caring, and sharing. We incorporated a number of activities including various games and a display of local beverages for the students to share with each other and the community. This year, our lessons were based on the newly implemented Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum. 

With your donations, we were able to purchase two tablets, two laptops, two sanitizing devices and a few kitchen items. The tools provided will enable our teachers to teach effectively and for our students to have all the resources they need while in our school. We are constantly striving to provide the best quality education to our students and we could not have done this without you. We are grateful for you as we continue to reach our goal.
