FREEDOM FOR THOUSANDS- CLOSING 2022

Hello friends! We are very happy to share with you the last report of the 2022 season. We are very grateful to those who have somehow joined the project, "Freedom for Thousands", motivated by the desire to see more children and adolescents living free.

We want to remind you that this project was born from the need to teach THOUSANDS the importance of the human being and how beautiful it is to live in Freedom. This has been possible thanks to the material that has been developed in a playful and visual way, in which thousands of girls, boys and adolescents have been instructed and encouraged to prevent risk situations as well as to be able to talk about any situation of abuse or violence. and the path they must follow to be cared for.

During this period, together with other organizations, we coordinated a Health Day for Women in one of the Red Zones of Northern Mexico, in which we were able to receive and provide prevention to nearly 100 children; We also went as guests to a beautiful community together with a group of people who have embraced the families of another of the most vulnerable communities in Northern Mexico, there we also shared preventive topics on child sexual abuse mainly for girls, boys, adolescents and their mothers; finally we present ourselves in a secondary and high schools in Rosarito and Tecate in Baja California Mexico, as well as other prevention activities.

As an organization we can see in each girl, boy and adolescent, the concern to learn about issues related to the prevention of commercial sexual exploitation of children and that encourages us to continue sowing wisdom in this generation, sure that in due time, they will be the ones to teach and care for others.

Thank you for being part of this movement, which continues to grow and needs to be further promoted, since there are still more people who need to hear that Freedom is a treasure that no one should ever be able to buy.

Alas Camp

We are very happy to communicate with you again and talk a little about the activities that we have been able to carry out thanks to your support.

María and Juan have an organization called “Alas” that focuses on people with disabilities, at their heart it was to teach these people to prevent sexual abuse and human trafficking. During a camp with people from the organization "Alas", specifically people with visual and hearing disabilities, the workshop on prevention of human trafficking and prevention of sexual abuse was worked on, through our traffic light game material. We teach them the types of touches; good, bad and secret, as well as private parts and how to take care of themself, in this activity we attended a total of 60 people.

In addition, a workshop was held for young people on pornography and its effects and sexual abuse, which was attended by around 30 young people between 12 and 18 years old. The objective of this activity was to teach young people the consequences of consuming pornography and provide tools to identify cases of sexual abuse. The activity was carried out in a community on the outskirts of the municipality of Tecate.

Another activity was the opportunity to travel to another state in the country. With the support received and the work of the members of NMCV, the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention and Intervention Program was carried out for a religious community in Fresnillo, Zacatecas. In this activity, tools were provided to apply prevention of child sexual abuse and psychological first aid to 45 people.

In addition, a Training was held in collaboration with Homeland Security Investigation. The objective of this activity was to train public officials and their team on the topics: "Human Trafficking and Child Commercial Sexual Exploitation." This event was attended by 30 participants from the different municipalities of Baja California.

In these months we had the opportunity to participate in some youth camps, one of them in the Agua Viva Ministries. Where about 100 young people between 13 and 19 years old in the municipality of Ensenada were told about the prevention of Sexting, Sextortion and Human Trafficking, as well as risk behaviors.

On the other hand, we held our annual “Sin Esclavos” congress in the Vino Nuevo Christian community in Ensenada, where the issues of raising awareness of Trafficking in Persons, Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, and Pornography were addressed. This activity was attended by religious people, the ministry and government agencies.

In addition to this, an Action Protocol Workshop was held against victims of Trafficking in Persons, aimed at officials of the Rosarito City Council. This activity was attended by 15 people, including members of Social Development, who enter the vulnerable community to bring economic or in-kind support. They stated that it is very important to know the information provided to identify people who are victims of any of these crimes.

Tecate, prevention day

Es un gusto volver a comunicarnos contigo y compartir una vez más las actividades que hemos tenido gracias a tu aporte. A través de su apoyo, ha sido posible alcanzar la libertad a través de la prevención, nuevamente.

José Luis y Mónica, están a cargo del ministerio de niños en una iglesia en Tecate, México, en su corazón estaba el deseo de prevenir la violencia y el abuso sexual entre los niños de sus grupos. Por eso contactaron a nuestro equipo y durante el mes de abril los líderes de su ministerio tomaron capacitación sobre abuso sexual infantil, trata de personas, explotación sexual infantil comercial y material de prevención.

Acompañados de esta actividad pudimos trabajar con ellos en un evento del día del niño, en la misma ciudad donde asistieron más de 70 niños, a los cuales pudimos llegar con juegos, webinars y actividades de feria para la prevención del abuso sexual. Pudimos enseñarles a cuidar su cuerpo e inculcarles la conciencia de que nacieron para ser libres y felices.

Otra de las acciones que tuvimos durante los primeros meses del año fue la capacitación en colaboración con instituciones gubernamentales de nuestro estado. En el cual se manifestaron las relaciones entre nosotros para lograr acciones más eficientes en la prevención y atención de la niñez vulnerable o víctima de violencia. En esta reunión el objetivo fue reforzar las herramientas para intervenir en el hogar de ASI y ESCI.

Además, tuvimos la oportunidad de conectarnos con la base misionera de JUCUM en la ciudad de Rosarito. Espacio en el que brindamos herramientas para aplicar la prevención del abuso sexual infantil a la comunidad con la que se trabaja en la zona de tolerancia de la ciudad de Tijuana.

Finalmente, se realizó una reunión por zoom con Homeland Security I, Arg-Tij para dar seguimiento a la colaboración con el equipo de NMCV en Argentina.

Sin duda, seguiremos trabajando y esperando llevar la libertad a millones de niños, niñas y adolescentes en todo el mundo.
