Food, Livelihood, Nutrition Support for Women

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project providing food, livelihood and nutrition assistance to women. This reporting period we continue providing for small livelihoods focusing on the improvement of food security and nutrition in the household. We designed a way that beneficiaries can pay back and support others in the process and in so doing continue the assistance to others. Most of our assistance focuses on the implementation of vegetable gardening, raising of small animals, planting of fruit trees and handicrafts. We were able to support 7 beneficiaries during this time and we hope to increase the number as we continue implementing this project. Again thank you very much.

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your support to our initiative providing food, livelihood and nutrition support for women. We observe in the villages the situation of some farm products like fruits which have high perishability. This is taken advantage of by traders because they know that prices go down when fruits are not in good condition. Some of the fruits have shelf-life of only 2-3 days and the value go down quickly. The solution we promote especially to women is to process these fruits into wine, vinegar and other products with high shelf-life. We are starting this in one village as one pilot and if this succeeds, then we think that women will have a far more brighter future with income increase and access to economic opportunities. We help in terms of linkages, training and the provision of equipment needed. Hoping for your continued support. Thank you very much.
