Dear Friends,
We hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and well.
Thank you once again for your generous donation to Empowering Female Refugees in the Netherlands through GlobalGiving. It’s truly made a difference.
We want to make sure you see the impact of your donation. Here are some highlights on what we’ve been able to accomplish thanks to your support:
Lotus Flower Programme (LFP)
We’re gearing up for our next LFP, which will take the form of virtual online training and will be carried out in collaboration with our new corporate partner (announcement coming soon!). The programme is expected to kick off this spring and aims to empower 10 female newcomers with hard skills training, mentorship and employment opportunities.
Ongoing Support for our Graduates
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our lives, it has become clear that female refugees are experiencing a unique set of challenges as a result of the health crisis. That’s why we continue to support our LFP graduates with ongoing practical and emotional support – from advice on housing to employment. This ensures that they are well supported to overcome this challenging time.
International Women’s Day Online Campaign
We believe in the power of sisterhood to inspire the women who we proudly support. In honour of International Women’s Day, we launched an online campaign throughout March to share words of wisdom from female role models in our network – from Corinne Vigreux, Cofounder of TomTom and Founder of Codam College, to Deborah E. Valentine, Executive Director, ACCESS Netherlands. Head over to our social media to see the messages we received.

Thank you once again for being a part of our journey and supporting our work – we couldn’t do what we do without you!
Gratefully yours,
Team She Matters
One last thing – sharing our project with your friends and family helps us to spread the word about our work and continue to grow our community of supporters like you. Please consider sharing our story with your network, we’d be incredibly grateful.
