Thank you so much for your generosity in providing food for underprivileged families in urgent need. The COVID-19 crisis is still wreaking havoc on the Indonesian economy, which is resulting in devastating effects for the poorest families and communities. Thanks to the generosity of so many, we have so far provided emergency food packets to 254 families with the funds raised here. This amounts to assisting over 1,000 people! Additionally, there are also many more food packets that are being distributed this month that will be reported later!
Many of the families you have assisted have lost all their income and have no savings or other assistance. Most of these families live hand-to-mouth, meaning they make enough money each day to meet their needs for that day. Therefore, with the loss of their small (but vital) income, they are left totally at the mercy of others.
All the families we have helped thus far have been very moved and extremely grateful. There have been many tears and big smiles! Thank you for helping us bring this vital emergency assistance to families in great need. We also thank you for helping us bring kindness, human connection, and hope to families that feel hopeless and forgotten.
We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Chris Rudd
