Improving food production
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project supporting elderly women. Most of our beneficiaries are women farmers and their families and we help them in the improvement of their food production activities. We provide a range of training opportunities such as fertilizer production, vegetable growing, the raising of small animals like chicken and ducks and so on. We tailor-fit our training activities to the needs of our beneficiaries. This reporting period we are able to provide training to a total of 15 elderly women farmers on the production of organic fertilizer using materials found in their farms. Your support to our work is very important. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle France Uy

Supporting elderly women
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your donation to our project supporting elderly women. This reporting period we assisted 35 elderly women with vegetable gardening inputs so that they are able to grow their own food and improve nutrition and food security in the home. The surplus vegetables they can also sell in order to generate income. The best thing is that they derive exercise and leisure while doing gardening activities. Our support include vegetable seeds, organic fertilizer and best of all technical advice so that the gardens grow well. We promote the use of local materials for fertilizer and containers wherein to grow the vegetables. Your support to this project is indeed very important and hoping that you will continue to help us. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy

Scaling-up support to the elderly
Dear Friend,
Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project helping elderly women. We are focusing our support to this project to 3 upland villages located the municipalities of Naawan and Manticao in Misamis Oriental. The villages are currently suffering from drought conditions due to the El Nino phenomenon and our help is focused on preparing the elderly women and their families grow their own food using our support comprising vegetable seedlings, root crops and bananas and organic fertilizer. We also provide them with small farm equipment and water containers in order to conserve water when rain starts to come. The El Nino is exppected to end by next month and food production will be in full-swing. Thanks to a major donor the Defense Bridge Asia to make this happen. We are aiming to include a total of 200 elderly women and their families in this support package.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy
