Leadership Initiative Donors,
I want to take this opportunity to share some of the latest accomplishments of Leaderhip Initiatives businesses.
First, I want to update you on Hamza Ya'a- the owner of Hazma welding. His business has recently expanded to a total of 6 employees, including several apprentices under the LI Orphan Care and Independence Program. With the new income from his business, he is sending 4 of his siblings through school, as well as attending adult education classes himself. LI has also begun working with him to arange financing for him to buy new equipment, allowing him to expand his business to new offerings- including free standing kiosk for other local businesses.
Another business owner helping to change lives in Bauchi is Adbulhadi Usman. With help from Leadership Initiatives, Abdulhadi was able to purchase a sewing machine. From that humble start, Abdulhadi has been able to grow his business to employ 5 employees, who are now supporting a total of 16 family members through school. LI is also planning to support him through the next step of his expansion- developing his own line of tradional dresses for the people in Bauchi.
The final business owner I want to highlight is Danliti Abdullahi- who started a cobbling business with the help of Leadership Initiatives. Danliti came to Leadership Initiatives to help learn the cobbling business, as well as microfinancing to purchase the necessary equipment. He has now been able to expand his business into a formal brick and mortar shop, and recently secured a government contract to supply shoes for the army. His business has taken off, and he has taken in several participants in the Orphan Care and Independence Program to help him keep up with orders.
Thank you, for your support and donation from the bottom of everyone's heart here at Leadership Initiatives. We would love have you involved with Leadership Initiatives if you ever want to help grow our programs, learn of ways you can participate or have new ideas on how to develop our programs please contact me at mbailly@leadershipinitiatives.org. Your hard work and intelligence is the greatest gift we could receive as we try and create a better world.
Also if you had a moment could you tell us why you donated and how you heard of us, we are always trying to better refine our message and reach more people with our call to change. Thank you for also helping us, understand amazing people like you better!
Wishing you, your friends and especially your family the absolute best this Spring!
Sincerely,
Marshall and the entire LI family
