In April 2023, our Global Smile Foundation (GSF) and GSF-MENA teams will be working together to provide comprehensive cleft care for underserved patients in the region. Our teams will provide:
In addition, we provide PCR testing for volunteers, patients, and family members as part of our COVID-19 safety protocols.
We have many patients waiting for care!
Cleft care in the Levant region is severely limited right now due to the ongoing economic crisis, and many basic services are also unavailable (read the World Bank report here).
Our patient population includes refugees from neighboring countries and Lebanese residents who live at the lower end of the socio-economic spectrum. Without treatment, children born with cleft, and their families, suffer poor health, malnutrition, and social isolation.

The average cost of cleft surgery for a patient is $1,500. Your gift helps to provide the surgical supplies, medicines, and hospital access to ensure that children born with cleft receive the care they need to live healthy lives.
