Children and young people living in the Palestinian camps in Lebanon are becoming more and more interested in the Jafra football teams. Jafra continues to provide as many individuals as possible with the chance to take part in practices and games, strengthening their sense of community within the sport and preventing a lot of young people from being left on their own, making them ideal targets for negative coping techniques.
Jafra currently has seven teams spread across four different locations, but still plans to expand both the number of teams and the locations in order to serve the requirements of a huge number of young people who lack the resources to join private clubs.
Talented players on Jafra teams have recently drawn the attention of national Lebanese football clubs. A teenage Jafra player has already been signed by the renowned Beiruty Nejmeh Club to play and receive training.
Only because of your kind donations are the individual and group accomplishments of Jafra teams and members possible. We are appreciative of the chances provided to the refugees residing in the Palestinian camps in Lebanon.
