Fundraising for healthcare in Simanjiro continues to be a significant challenge. Whilst COVID-19 infection rates have significantly reduced, healthcare facilities in the region remain severely under-resourced and require further financial support.
Currently, our main objective is to continue to support local healthcare facilities in Simanjiro, and your donations will help us work with local healthcare workers to make this happen. With your donations, we have continued to provide remote healthcare facilities with essential equipment, which has enabled healthcare staff to treat patients more effectively.
In addition, we are continuing to work with the local radio station Orkonerei FM, to share essential health information with listeners. This is especially valuable due to the remoteness of many communities in the Simanjiro district, meaning that access to reliable healthcare information is otherwise scarce.
In our most recent impact surveys we conducted in the communities we work with, there has been a strong emphasis on increasing the number of remote healthcare facilities in the area. With your support, we hope that our Telehealth system can be widely implemented within the communities we work with and beyond.
If you would like to share this report within your network and on social media, your support in raising awareness would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Iona
