Society provides blanket healthcare to all its children. We wish to highlight the case of Neha, a student of Class 10.
Neha’s family lives in an interior village of Uttarakhand - Purola, Uttarkashi. Her father, Khushi a native of Jaunsar region migrated to Garhwal 12 years ago in search of better livelihood opportunities.
Neha’s father is not keeping well for quite some time now. Due to this she is quite stressed. It is for this reason that we have brought her in our hostel.
Recently Neha collapsed during lunch time. She was immediately rushed to the School infirmary. She fainted twice and was then taken to the nearest hospital. She was well cared for & kept under observation in ICU (Intensive Care Unit). The doctor mentioned that she is suffering from Respiratory Distress. After talking to her, we got to know that she was stressed due to her father’s condition. She was discharged after 3 days and has been advised to take proper rest.
She is now back at School and attending her regular classes. Teachers & Hostel mentors are giving proper care and attention. Now that she is in Class 10, she has been advised to not be stressed by the Board examinations.
